Christoph Erdmann ist Gründer und Geschäftsführer der Secusmart GmbH sowie Senior Vice President BlackBerry Secure Communications. In dieser Rolle führt er für den Mutterkonzern BlackBerry das Geschäft für sichere Kommunikation in den Regionen Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) und Asia-Pacific (APAC). Neben der sicheren Kommunikationsplattform BlackBerry SecuSUITE verantwortet Erdmann auch die Krisenkommunikations-Plattform BlackBerry AtHoc und die Mobilgeräte-Management-Plattform BlackBerry UEM.
In Deutschland bietet er mit dem 2007 von ihm gegründeten Kanzlerhandy-Hersteller Secusmart den Gold-Standard für sichere Behördenkommunikation. Die SecuSUITE for iOS (SS4iOS) und SecuSUITE for Samsung Knox (SS4SK) erfüllen höchste Sicherheitsstandards und überzeugen durch ihre Benutzerfreundlichkeit.
Vor seiner Zeit bei Secusmart promovierte Christoph Erdmann nach seinem Studium der Elektrotechnik an der RWTH Aachen auf dem Gebiet der digitalen Signalverarbeitung. Für seine Dissertation erhielt er 2004 den renommierten E-Plus-Promotions-Preis und in 2006 die Borchers-Plakette der RWTH Aachen. Vor der Gründung von Secusmart war er als Technology Manager bei Nokia tätig.
Die von Christoph Erdmann maßgeblich mitentwickelten Lösungen zur sicheren Kommunikation sind in der NATO, in allen G7-Regierungen sowie 18 der G20-Mitgliedsstaaten im Einsatz.

Christoph Erdmann is the founder and CEO of Secusmart GmbH and Senior Vice President of BlackBerry Secure Communications. In this role, he leads BlackBerry’s Secure Communications business across the regions Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and Asia-Pacific (APAC). In addition to the secure communications platform BlackBerry SecuSUITE, Erdmann is also responsible for the crisis communication platform BlackBerry AtHoc and the mobile device management platform BlackBerry UEM.
In Germany, through Secusmart, the “Chancellor phone” manufacturer he founded in 2007, he provides the gold standard for secure government communications. SecuSUITE for iOS (SS4iOS) and SecuSUITE for Samsung Knox (SS4SK) meet the highest security standards while offering strong usability.
Before his time at Secusmart, Christoph Erdmann earned his doctorate in digital signal processing after studying electrical engineering at RWTH Aachen University. He received the prestigious E-Plus Doctoral Award in 2004 for his dissertation and the Borchers Medal of RWTH Aachen in 2006. Prior to founding Secusmart, he worked as a Technology Manager at Nokia.
The secure communication solutions co-developed by Christoph Erdmann are in use by NATO, all G7 governments, and 18 G20 member states.
